Monsters&Girls: Secrets of Mermaids

Requires Geckolib!

This is a second mod in monsters&girls collection. it focuses mainly on mermaids and some other aquatic mobs.
Currently it adds 2 species of mermaids.
Mermaids can be tamed however they won't follow their owner and won't walk on land. Player can shift+right click to make them either stay in place or wander around.
All mermaids have designs and behavior more or less inspired by real species of fish.

Abyssal Mermaid

This mermaid was based on the Black Swallower - a deep sea fish known from being able to swallow prey even twice its own size.


-spawns in deep ocean biomes (excluding deep warm ocean)
-aggressive, attacks every mob in water, and sometimes can even become cannibalistic.
-her stomach will expand as she consumes more mobs, in her full state, she won't attack other mobs, except for drowned.
-If player hits her in bloated state, mermaid will regurgitate some more or less useful items.
-will follow raw cod or salmon in hand
-can be tamed/pacified with raw cod or salmon.

Tropical Pygmy Mermaid

These mermaids were based on various reef fish, like: clownfish, blue tang, royal gramma.


-spawns in warm ocean biome
-passive.
-Giving her raw fish will make her look for shiny items like pearls and gems in sand, clay, gravel or dirt blocks (note: the pathfinding is quite tricky so it is best to do it if the blocks are closely bellow her or else she may wander far away trying to find it)
-will follow raw and cooked cod, salmon or tropical fish in hand
-can be tamed with cooked cod or salmon.

Other additions:
Tropical Mermaids can dig up pearls which can be crafted into decorative blocks or used to craft tools like:
Depth Slasher - a sword with stats similar to diamond, except it deals extra 20 damage when player is wet;
Deep Digger - a pickaxe with stats similar to diamond, it gives player haste II effect when wet, making underwater mining a bit easier.
