Topic category: Help with MCreator software
I'm new to mod making, and for some reason, My ore generation just doesn't work in mcreator, And I don't know why, I've looked for days why, I've even made a ore generation feature, and although it did work, it generated really badly and weird, and I made that feature with this video: https://youtu.be/hiB8Zg4sF1w?si=fd9mIKrTQutuuKgS
PLEASE somebody help, I've seen alot of people with this problem to.
I'm using 1.20.1 forge
And all of the tutorials are outdated noways, Maybe I'm just missing out on some things, Or I just havent done enough research or i'm just doing to much and its really obvious.
Thank you :)
I'd check the official mcreator wiki page on ore generation, but if you just can't find it, when you make a block, go to the last page, Generation. Before you do anything else, hit the checkbox to enable ore generation in the world. Then, blocks this block can replace is usually stone and diorite, granite, andesite, etc. in the overworld, pretty much just where you want it to look natural. Restriction biomes is if you only want it to spawn in specific biomes. I think generation shape is like how it generates, I believe triangle is like diamonds not spawning as much at y11, but spawning more about halfway to bedrock from there. Average ore groups per chunk is how many you want to spawn (about) per 16 * 16 area all the way from surface to bedrock. Average number of ores per group is (about) how many you want per node. Generation height is how deep and how shallow it can spawn. Sorry if it's a lot of text, I just personally get sick of short explanations of things I already am proficient with.
