Setting up gradle project doesn’t stop after update

I just updated mcreator to the 2025.1 version and whenever I start a new project I get stuck on setting up gradle project files. I have been stuck on it for almost 12 hours now and it doesn’t seem to work. Thw bottom right corner says gradle idle with a gray square. I also checkwd the minimum requirements to be able to load mcreator and I respect all of them even that I have the recommended requirements for almost all of them. Does qnyone know how to fix this? I have swarched for other people with this problem but haven’t found something that worked.
