Underwater ModJam presented by MCreative Discord (With Cash Prize!) (Blitz jam, starts match 6th, ends March 9th 2026)

Hello! I am Kleiders, one of the 3 co-owners of the MCreative Discord, a community driven discord where we share tutorials, help each other, and do cool events! A few years ago, we did our first jam, the Halloween and Minigames Jam, today, we are back at it with a new one!

This time we are presenting the MCreative Underwater modjam for 2026, a short and quick jam that anyone can join!
Due to the short timeline, we expect most mods to be on the most basic side, so even if you don't have a lot experience, your mod could still stand out!

You can also collab with other people in the "Collaboration" channel, and if you are struggling with something you can just ask for help on the help dedicated channels!

Rules of Entry

• 1) Mods must follow the theme, it can be a proof of concept, or a full release.
• 2) Submissions can be to modrinth, curseforge, Mcreator website. They must be uploaded in the ⁠⚡︱jam-submissions  channel. The end date of the jam is when you should make your submission to your preferred site, the upload date on the sites will be used to verify it; We will wait until all mods are approved to begin judging
• 3) All submissions must include at least 2-3 images showing things from the mod, making a small video is encouraged. (This will help you during community voting!)
• 4) All submissions must include a small explanation about your mod and how to use it.
• 5) Mod version must be 1.20.1 and up, but newer versions are recommended
• 6) Teams are allowed
  If your team wins, its up to you to decide how to split the prize
• 7) AI assets are NOT allowed

Special Object

• The special object for this jam is bubbles! This means your mod must contain at least one functionality (item, mob, superpower, structure, whatever!) related to bubbles; The more it connects to the main functionalities of the mod, the more points you get!

Bonus Points

Bonus points will be given out for each condition met while judging.  These are optional

• No bugs, meaning that when judges are playing, they didn't encounter any bugs

• Playable in survival,
  meaning judges were able to test out your mod in survival; Including some sort of guide in your submission helps!

• Community voting,
  the community will vote for their favorite mods

Additional Prize

The mod voted 1st on the community vote gains an additional 5 USD, regardless of the judge vote
