Can you paste the gradle output?
The same thing happens to me. What do you mean by gradle output? Where would we find it.

Uh sorry, I didn't read your problem well...
You can't try your mod when the gradle process is on (the saving process) you need to wait. When it is finished, the gtadle button will be white
