How to make a sword which will attack in close proximity and it could be throwing?

You can define melee damage of ranged items in MCreator 1.9.1. Make a sword of type ranged item and set itself as ammo and as a bullet so it becomes throwable.

This is what I meant. The melee damage controls the melee damage of the item shooting the projectile, say a musket.

I think that Klemen means that the bullet damage is the usual bullet damage, while the melee damage is what you do by left-clicking

Like a Trident

But if it could be thrown, then picked up (even if it hit an entity) and it retained the durability, then it would be perfect
