I am making a mod that adds a new type of sponge. This sponge would act almost exactly the same as the normal in-game sponge, except it is used to drain lava. I have already created the block itself, but the way it drains is not the way that the vanilla sponge drains. The vanilla sponge will drain water 7 blocks in all directions. However, if it runs into a wall while draining, it will stop there (If this is confusing to you, it also confuses me). I have managed to get the Lava Sponge (Still looking for a better name) to drain lava 5 blocks in all directions, but it is not working correctly. I have attached a diagram of what I mean by this for better understanding. If anyone can help me, please let me know.
