Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Java Edition)
So i am creating this potion effect which removes player health and increase the player's base damage. The health reduction thing works but the base damage increase is not. I thought I would use attributes but DTM's toolkit for attributes is not updated to 2021.1. So how do I do this?
I don't want to apply strength to the player because having a status effect that adds another status effect looks weird

If you want to chat "... was slain by" if killed by that additional damage, you have to create custom Death source etc.
Potionbang is your effect name (Mine in this case, yours can be different.)
The 10 Damage can be adjusted.
