Like the title says, I would like to have the bullets from my ranged weapons deal varying damage based on distance. Is there any way possible for this?

maybe if you have an nbt for the bullet the bullet that starts high but is lowered every tick?
Then on bullet hit entity do "deal "nbt tag" to entity"
