I suggest to add new durability type.
when you set durability of tool this future let you chosse what durability you want normal minecraft durability or energy durability, if you chosse energy durability this let you chose what type of energy you want to use RF, FE or custom. You can chosse how many you have start energy durability.
PS. i don't think someone suggest this before, sorry if i write somthing wrong.
