Im new to modding and this is one of the 100 or so ideas I've had for a mod. Its basically just a mod that reworks how potions work in minecraft to the point of insanity lol. Rn its in its infancy, and I'm trying to think of a name for this mod considering i actually want to make this mod to its fullest i guess.
The basics of the mod i have in mind start right when you spawn in the world. In certain biomes, there will be a certain flower that when punched, will drop a petal that if eaten will give a small potion effect.
If you were to take those petals, and smash em down with a piece of flint and a bowl, then add some water, you can make potions that are very weak, but still work.
Idk what I'm going to do from that point on in terms of advancing in the mod, but i do know i might try and take full advantage of all the advancement tree stuff and create a decent progression system.
If you would like to contribute ideas to the mod, you can in this very forum post i guess, but don't expect this mod to be released soon lol (who should expect anything from someone who's completely new to this lol)
Add plant and procedure when rightclick
Give player [item]
Optional place block at x y z [] //it is optional you can place here flower with the same look but with locked event (rember you can add tick event to spawn good flower)
You can add receptors for that food element
When player eats food add player potion effect.
I tried explain how it looks but if i wrote wrong because i don't understand what you can't do just write "i can't do..." I will try help
