I have thought Minecraft needed a cave update so I did it instead. Also any ideas that aren’t to advanced I read in here might be added to the mod.

You could add a glowy type of moss that is kinda like a torch. could be a block kinda like moss stone. you could also add a mix of armor like diamond + leather to make armor more adaptable and easier to craft. also you could add the glow moss kinda thing to armor making your armor a torch that would make walking around in a cave so much easier...
Thats a great idea I’ll try adding it in the next cavecraft update along with heatstone. Heatstone will be like the coldstone in the mod but a different colour and in warm biomes. Thanks for the idea :)
Glowing armour? Would night vision work for making caves easier to see in? Also I’ll try to add golden iron armor and more if I can figure it out
Also if I can I’ll add diamond leather like you suggested and maybe a way to get sticks while exploring caves :)
Im adding glowmoss right now which will be a glowing mossy cobblestone like you suggested to see if it works. I’ll post my progress getting glowmoss to work
also to make the glowmoss you should make a procedure that spawns a invisable walk through block that makes light all around if you want the item to be like a torch.
some more ideas are: glowmoss potion (adds the glowing effect when drunk), glowmoss sword (illuminates the area with light also mixed with iron or diamond), all different material types of rapiers, underground cow (a cow that got lost in the caves and mines of the overworld lives off of glowmoss. also gives off a light), underground sheep, pig, and chicken, and rust (when a iron tool, weapon, or armor gets in water it automaticly turns to rust).
I’ll try adding glowmoss potions they will be crafted since I can’t seem to add brewing reciles. Also Cavecraft 1.0 will add glowmoss. The recipe for the potion will be a glass bottle and glowmoss when I add it.
I’ll add underground creatures in cavecraft 1.0 or 1.5. The glowmoss sword idea will be added since I’m adding a new ore that is glowing ore and a glowing rock so you can see inside of caves which when smelted will create glowshrooms.
In cavecraft 1.0 there will be diamond leather and possibly iron gold.

What about adding poison mushrooms and a cave troll?
Sure. What about cave shrooms and poison mushrooms? The second pre-release will add more fungi and plants and a way to get wood in caves. Possibly through the glowshroom trees underground in the cave villages.
