Topic category: Feature requests and ideas for MCreator
as you know, doing this can prevent all the lazily made mods from ever existing again
Mcreator receives a lot of hate for these mods
so i think we should remove these auto-creation tools asap

aynyone in?
Mods like this existed before these auto-tools (also there are tons of such mods on GitHub and other places made by users learning how to code mods (not with MCreator) too, but this is fine by users using this argument against MCreator).
At least for this website, there are now rules for such mods and moderators remove them most of the time.
Removal of quick tools would punish users actually using them to avoid the pain of doing this manually before adding additional logic to these elements. It's like preventing people from using a car and walk instead, at least this is how I see this.
But I am ready to listen to arguments ;)
Tool pack allows terribly generated, generic mods
And it makes everyone think modding is a simple process
see you've already got hundreds of Terrible mods on this website.
And they are all virtually the same thing, god tools that kill in one sec, Jesus mode, etc. the same "obsidian tools","plenty-of-ore", low quality and absolutely game-breaking
if that's the standards of "good" then if have no words
i didn't mean to criticize anyone/anything
i just think we should remove them and even maybe have a qualification process
What I am saying is these mods existed long before these quick tools existed so these quick tools are not the cause for this, but removal would also hurt people who use them for avoiding the tedious process of setting up the base.
I suggest to wait to see the take of other users on this ;)
What standards do you mean?
ok.
bad mods: generated, generic mods
so u want this software to be less open to new people? doesnt that defeat the purpose of the whole software?
No i only want the mods to be more outstanding
do you not?
This did not happen due to quick modding tools.
They exist for 1 year, MCreator for 8 years and I have seen better mods in this last year than ever before.
I am not attributing this to quick modding tools, but what I am saying is they are not the reason for low-quality mods.
how about before you submit a mod there would be an inspection?
There is only one moderator that is not a developer at the moment so approval could take time.
I check mods and remove them as often as I can. When doing this I use these rules as a guideline: https://mcreator.net/wiki/modification-publishing-guidelines
