1.16.2 is out. But it will probably take awhile since the devs will need to figure out all of the changes in code from 1.15 to 1.16.2.
Also the fabric generator plugin works for 1.16

thank you for making mcreator as a free software since without it I wouldn't be able to mod for awhile by awhile I mean like maybe a year from now since there aren't that many minecraft modding tutorials for new versions. Also nice job! we have basically everything to make a new wood type and glass pane.
Im a hobby Developer and I love this generator because it makes a lot things easier. I like My Mods Fresh and New, so i would appreciate if you could Update the System to 1.16 . The Forge Version is now out for Almost two months. I heared that Klemen does everything, If thats the case I could maybe Help with Mapping just contact me.
Maybe you could tell us a Release Date for 2020.5 and thank you for your great Work !
Forge 1.16.2 is not ready yet, it is in works. There is no recommended build and no good code mappings yet. We will have to wait, then it could take me a month or two to do all the work. There is a few 100 procedure blocks to be ported and tested, for example.

They will only update MCreator to Minecraft 1.16, if Forge has a good code to make mod.
Forge doesn’t even support 1.16 yet so we have to wait.
I think mcreator should skip 1.15 because even though it fixed lots of bugs it is still a small update and we should wait for the nether update
