Um, I'm severely confused. You have to give us way more information in order to be able to help you.
Sorry, I downloaded mcreator, then I downloaded forge, I came back to MCreator and found I could not make mods, it still says download, instead of the regular + sign signifying create new mod.
Download what? MCreator isn't a online tool, you use the actual MCreator application you downloaded to make mods XD
I suggest you check this playlist for examples on how to get started on MCreator: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAeL-oIFIEngE6jRgFYeFMfuj8WQsO3Ei
I watched some of them and I still don't know how to access the file, I downloaded it, but how do I get to it? Could you please explain how to open the download file?
have you downloaded files before on your computer XDIt will be in your browser's default download folder, probably in <your user folder>/Downloads
but if you use chrome you could go into the download history and open files from there
you should probably also read this: https://mcreator.net/install
Sorry I am downloading this on a raspberry pi which is very different than other devices its a little circuit looking thing that is actually its own mini computer.
Do I have to have minecraft in order for mcreator to work? I am working on getting it on my raspberry pi but it is going to take a while.
eh, unfortunately, mcreator probably won't work on a raspberry pi lol, I doubt if you could even run minecraft on it
It's a mini-computer designed for people to learn programming, not a computer that is suited for most games.
You should get a computer that meets these minimum requirements: https://mcreator.net/requirements
I mean data-pack maker might work on RPI, but forge and fabric sure not :D
