I guess nobody...not pogchamp
*not pogchamp at all...*
As a fan of Tinker's Construct, I'm very keen on a similar Mcreator mod. If you could, I would be very happy of a compat with my own mod (not released yet), and I think many people would want it to.
Sorry, I don't have any ideas for the name, tough.
Thanks! I don't know how to make a mod compatable with another sooooo yeah
It would be very cool tho
Btw i think i already have a name
Cool! What is the mod name?
To make compatibilities, I think we should use tags to allow building of parts with materials from other mods. I'm very intersted in your project, so I can help you if you want.
So, first suggestion, make a document to plan out your base ideas. Get the essentials of the mod done first. Then start adding all the unique stuff. I've found myself doing stuff like that before.
Thanks for the tip!
I don't want to spoil it yet so let's say...
Project Knockoff for now ;)
Okay :)
If you want my help, just ask.
I am kinda scared of the multiblock smeltery but I think I can do it
Btw if it is okay to ask...
When is your mod releasing?
Don't worry. The Beta version should be released during the summer holidays. Btw if you want to Alpha test, you can (I'll credit you as a tester).
About the multiblock smeltery, I think that it would be very hard and maybe would need custom code. I don't know how well you code, but I'm not sure it's possible with MCreator. Moreover, adding the same way to craft parts as Tinker' Construct may be redundant and considered as a copy. To avoid that, you should add a custom way to craft the parts (and even the tools?). Keeping the smithing idea is great, but adding something new and different is better (I think).
Anyway, go ahead and do what you want. My previous sentences are only a personnal tip.
PS: Sorry for my bad english.
The custom parts crafting may use the anvil or the smithing table (or an alternate block similar to how the crafting station is an alternate to the crafting table), which does not have much utility on their own.
This mod is not going to be a copy, but it is going to be inspired by it.So yes,I will have custom ways to craft the parts, custom tools,a custom smeltery system.I can't code very well, but I think I know how to do the smeltery.
About testing,I would gladly test your mod!
Okaaay (Sorry, I misunderstood what you wanted to say. I thought that you wanted to make the exact same smeltery as Tinker's). Good programming!
For the mod testing, thanks! I'll send you a version as soon as I implement at least some world gen features (currently most elements are ready, and few are WIP, but almost no one can be got in survival). And if you want me to test "Project Knockoff", of course I can!
Do you have a Discord account, so I can send you the file once it's ready?
I have! It's neuro #5722
Thanks for all the comments btw
