WHY??? When I was trying to find glowstone in the item picker, I couldn't find it until I hovered over everything and found out it looks like FRICKIN' BEESWAX!!!
PLEASE remove the texture pack, other than the log, plank, and gem textures in the template and wood generators! But get rid of it for the ingots.

its not a texture pack,it is just misleading icons
I actually know why they do this, they due to this for legal reasons as you can not distribute vanilla resources as it goes against the Minecraft Eula, in all technicality, it's also not allowed to use them in mods however Mojang is relaxed on this for the most part so long as it's not used to damage the brand of Mojang/Minecraft in any way. Klemen has used custom textures to avoid getting in legal trouble if Mojang decides to crack down on textures being used as they did during the hole server donation thing a few years back. There is not too much Klemen can do to fix this issue without opening the doors for being sued.
Then why do people take all of the textures from the game for mod use?
It isn't illegal to do that!
I suggest you read the Mojang TOS
Looking at the summary, I think it's that since mods are part of the game, they can use the textures. MCreator isn't, so then they can't use it. Maybe I can change the files for it, because that's not public usage.
If I could close this because it's solved, I would.
you can make it so the title says closed so people know it's closed
tbh i don't think it's very big of a problem, you can use the search bar instead of the textures to find what you want
