Elytra Animation

My mod allows the player to fly if they have a certain skill. When the player flies though, I want them to be able to glide, and so I also need it to play the elytra Animation. How would I make it do a gliding procedure? And how would I make it do the elytra Animation? Could I use Goldfuscate, cuz I have that, or Gecko Lib? (I don't really know how to use Gecko Lib but if you have a tutorial for this I'd like to know) thanks.
