When updating from 2021.3 to 2022.2 or something like that, the plugins folder shouldn't be deleted like the settings folder. It makes it easier so you don't have to reinstall every time. Installing a new version would just overwrite existing folders, not delete them all (which would also keep versions like 1.17.1 that aren't shipped out anymore).
Keep "Keep caches and settings" checked when uninstalling
