Hi All
Looking for suggestion for tools and weapons to add to a large rpg style mod im developing (early version currently available on my profile)
Within the mod i have added server magic damage types so these can be included into the weapons
Types include:
- Force magic damage
- Necrotic magic damage
- Cold magic damage
- Acid magic damage
- Fire magic damage
- Lightning magic damage
New status effects can be included if you have ideas for such, i have also added some which i will detail below
Martial Skill: 10% x level to cancel any attack made against you, when an attack is cancelled this effect goes on cooldown for 1.5 seconds
Attack Block: Cancels the next attack made against you
Stunned: Can't move, attack, or place/break blocks
Free movement: immunity to stunned and slowness
Natures Fist: next attack will deal acid damage and stun the target for 1 second
Vampires Kiss: next attack will heal you for 1 heart x level
Thunder Touch: next attack strikes lightning and deal lightning magic damage
Disarmed: all attacks you make are cancelled
Grievous Wounds: Healing is reduced
Demoralised: Base attack speed is temporarily reduced
Burning Soul: deal fire damage in a small radius around you every 2 seconds
I would also like suggestions for other things you would like to see in a mod of this type
Creativity is highly valued and if your suggestions are used credit will be given in the mod wiki when the items are added there
Flail could be an interesting addition, will have a look into making that mechanic rewarding to play with, if i can make it work i will add it, thank you
Wind Spear that makes people it hits get launched in the air

Elven Warspear
High Damage
Fast Attack Speed
2 handed
Gives martial skill 1 when held
Right click performs a charge attack the deals damage to any mobs you pass through (for larger mobs you must pass through the centre)
Anything hit gets marked for 3 seconds, hits from the warspear refresh this time
Hitting a marked target 3 times will knock them back and deal damage based on the targets armour

I'd actually intended to add a rage mechanic to a berserker class that i would add later on, this would have them increase their damage based on missing health, thank you for the idea though
Necromancer Powers:
Pure Soul: summons a red soul that clings to the monster attacking you and inflicts 1 point of damage every 2 seconds (3 mana points per soul)
Soul Fire Breath: You breathe blue fire for 1 minute, the breath burns enemies and inflicts 1 damage per second (7 mana points).
Soul Chakram:
Launches a chakram that revolves around the attacker, inflicting 5 points of damage. (12 mana points)
Skeleton Wolves: You summon 3 bone wolves that leave a trail of fire behind them and inflict 3 damage per bite (20 mana points).
Spectral Sword: For 15 minutes, enemies take damage if they approach you (28 mana points)
Ultimate Ability: Flesh Golem
Summon a gigantic flesh golem that strikes enemies within a 25 block radius, it attacks at over 20 blocks! (100 mana points)

Unfortunately i already have a necromancer in the works as a class in the mod and already have included a mana system
I do very much like the idea of the pure soul cursing opponents and following them so will find some way of incorporating that
My last possibility: it's the elements.
Depending on the classes, a certain type of energy will be used (flamed, wet, glued or evil).
