Setting custom (default) model animation
Wed, 04/22/2020 - 04:16 (edited)

So reciently i wanted to create a zombie-type entity for my mod with a different skin, initially i just used the "biped" model with a zombie skin but i realized that it just wasnt what i wanted, and upon browsing i realized that there was no Zombie model in McCreator

so i went to minecraft, downloaded tabula, exported the model, threw it in mccreator and put a texture on it, everything okay, works perfectly, Except for the fact that the model has no animations...it just scoots along the ground,

ive went into resources, clicked on it and played arround the "model animation definition wizard" and this is where im stuck. im sure this is what i have to do but im unsure what is what,

i have 7 slots:

Field_178723_h animation

Field_178721_j animation

Field_78116_C animation

Field_87115_e animation

Field_178724_i animation

field_178722_k animation

field_178720_f animation

and 7 animations

Head movement

Left arm swing

Right arm swing

Left leg swing

Right leg Swing

Left arm swing (Y axis)

Right arm Swing (Y axis)

now, i kind of understand a little bit of what im reading...it seems that the model came with some animations preloaded or something (since it is the default one) and i jsut have to set them properly but im at a loss, does anyone know what im suposed to do?

techne has other models that mcreator doesnt have, such as pig spider and wolf

you can get what you want from techne by choosing the biped in techne and changing the rotation of the arms. you can use the same exact texture you are currently trying to use on it

Did you ever figure out how to use default animations from other minecraft vanilla mobs? I'm also trying to apply zombie animations for my custom entity
