How to make an item drop another item when it breaks (runs out of durability)

Hi

I haven't found any decent help for this and it's a pretty important factor in my mcreator mod. I am using Mcreator version 2023.2.

So I made an item (not tool) that when it breaks it gives back its "handle" so it can be remade again. But I have no idea how to do this and can't find any other help

 Any comments would be appreciated :)!
