It's a fairly simple question: how do you make stairs in MCreator 1.6.5? And, how do you make slabs that will actually be able to join together once you place two on top of each other?
One does not simply make stairs that easy. You need to work on making a 3d custom model and create a code that makes it so you can walk up it.
The slabs... well, you can make the half block and the full block, so if you right click the half block with the other half block, it becomes a full block.. or something.

You can try stealing the JSON file from vanilla minecrafts files and using that.
