Topic category: Feature requests and ideas for MCreator
Been using MCreator since 1.4.3, love the program, you guys at Pylo do amazing work! My requests are simple and I'm sure they have been mentioned before, but as I couldn't find many of them, I thought I would post the ideas here. Would love to hear what everyone thinks. Now if any of the things I mention are already possible and I am just clueless as to how to implament it, please feel free to not only inform me it is possible, but share how to do it, so others will know as well.
First
Easy ways to create variations of the new items in 1.9 ie Shields those Elytra things and so on.
Second
A way to add custom particles! For example, using an animated texture lets just say 8 frames or so. Then apply that to a non collidable "billboard" model and have the ability to spawn it on a block, in the air, or attached to a mob or player. Not sure if this would work, but it may be a good work around as I have read that particles in minecraft are a tough thing to work with.
Third
Add AI options for all current minecraft mobs. As well as perfefcting options for flying and underwater mobs. Also add in all AI options from all current Mobs in the custom AI section, for example: a spider's ability to climb walls, A guardian's ability to simply dwel underwater, the blaze and enderman's ability to emit particles.(this would be especially cool with custom particles as mentioned above)
Fourth
Add in full compatability from growing crops: select a seed item, select type of block the crop can grow on, does water speed up growing yes/no, select 3 to 7 stages of growth and how many ticks pass between growth stages, how many actual "food" items does the crop produce, and when harvested does the entire plant get destroyed and you have to plant a new seed, or does the plant remain and more crop will grow later.
Fifth
Custom Potions: Item image for potion, is potion drank or thrown, effect of potion, duration of potion, particle effect of potion, strength of potion, {Event Conditons: When Potion hits Block, When Potion Hits Mob, When Potion Hits Player, When Potion Drank, When Potion Created}
Sixth
Include the Base models for all current Mobs in the Mob Model Selection page
Seventh
API Creation/Use Option: This may be one of the more difficult suggestions, but the ability to create a basic API for use in all mods you make, could save creators a lot of time. But more importantly the ability to import someone else's API so that you can make a mod based off of their API, for example the ability for MCreator to make rings and other accessories for the "Baubles" API system.
8
Add options to the "Overlay" option that would allow for the display and updating of variables. For example Coins. Let's say I set a variable called "Gold", then as part of the Overlay I set a small image of a gold coin just above the Hunger bar, now all I need is to add a Variable Text button after the Coin image that displays the variable.
Now on to my other idea, PLUGINS
The ability for people to create custom plugins for MCreator. For example, if someone wants to add a new mob AI, thay could create a plugin for it, and make it availible to the rest of the community. Like most programs, all someone would need to do is download the plugin, and place it in a plugin folder inside the mcreator instal folder. By opening up things like potions, particles, mobs and mob AI, and a number of other aspects of MCreator to be able to be altered via a plugin, this would truly take MCreator to the next level.
That is a good list of even BETTER ideas!
Thanks for the kind words! Lets home enough people see this and bring it to the attention of the Dev team!
Yes i hope so.

+1 Very great ideas! I love how you take into consideration how they could be used! I especially like the particles.
+1 Good idea!
Yoo, Have there been any further remarks on your request? this has been some time ago, can we confirm this change?
Awesome Ideas!
Wow, five years later, reading an old post and realize, most of my suggestions have been added in some way shape or form. God I love this community.
