I have a custom bow and a custom mob use it and then you can just spam the bow like crazy. Is there a way to make it like default bow so you can't spam it

We will improve ranged items in the future updates.
so there is no way of fixing it right now??
When entity uses item:
Cooldown prowided itemstack for ( ) ticks
