I really dislike the new texture changes it makes it harder for us to create things that blend in because they look so different. Custom block designing can also take a while and isn't very good at exact replicas of the textures in Minecraft. I think we should go back to old textures!
Read the release article of 1.9.0 to see why is this. And you can add old textures to the templates, it is explained on the forums.
I know why but it said nothing of how to put back the old textures I can't do anything with mining because there is no stone!
