Only one of the ores I've made are actually generating, and it's really annoying. I've even exported it into a .jar file and played with my mod on normal minecraft, but the other ores just won't spawn. I know they're not just "too rare" for me to have found because I have used world edit //replacenear commands and the "___ blocks affected", which has shown around 1,000 of one of my ore types, but none of the rest. It's also not that I haven't gone into new chunks where they could generate after making them, as I have gone thousands of block away to look for them. Here are picture of the generation details for the one that works (first one) and one of the ones that doesn't (second one). You might have to right click the little icon and click open in new tab to see the images, but I don't know.
Actually you just need to click the links to see the images, as I forgot to actually insert them.
Unless there's a procedure on that block that makes it destroy itself on being added to the world... the ores are in fact too rare to spawn. Increase their numbers and you'll find them in your world.
But they have the same spawn rarity, the ruby just spawns in smaller veins.
Did you test out whether increasing the number worked for the lower rarity ore?
Because if it does: You can make it rarer again by giving it a chance to replace itself when it is being spawned into the world.
I've got a similar problem (not helping you). I've made two ores generating in the end. I couldn't find any of them, so I increased spawn rates. One of them is generating all good, but the other one isn't. It could maybe be caused by a procedure, where the ore protects itself from being mined by converting nearby end stone to obsidian, but I don't know how it would be so.
