Help with custom armor texture

I've tried creating a custom armor texture, but it's kind of glitchy.  I've created the texture (layer_1 and layer_2) and put it in the program.  The glitchy bit is where I go to select it.  When I click it, the window closes and it shows up on the bottom of the screen.  However, it doesn't select in the box itself, meaning I can't save the element and test it out.

Did you use the correct import method for the image?

I went to resources, then texture files, then clicked import texture files, then finally import armor texture, and then I selected layer_1 and layer_2 of my armor texture.

I tried to reproduce this bug and could not get it to happen.

I Guess make sure there are no invisible characters in your images names.

Check the coloring format of the images.

Okay I managed to reproduce this bug.

I had an image called under _layer_1.png and it broke how you said.

So I guess make sure it doesn't have any special characters at the start of the name.

Name your armor something like armor_layer_1.png

If you delete the other layer of your armor the text will be red in the box it will still allow you to save the element but it might be broken so make sure you have / keep both layers.
