How do I make a hollow block (and make it fillable with lava).

I'm trying to make an obsidian block with a hole through it (like a tube) and want it to be naturally generated in the nether, with and without lava.
How do I do this?

You would have to use blockbench, one empty and one with an animated texture of lava, you could maybe do something by making it water logged, but I think it is easier this way.
