nothing new is showing up when I add it

Items, Blocks, etc. nothing shows up.

I cannot get any item I add via /give or via the creative menu. I have given all the items I have tested a creative tab, so it can't be that

I am extremely confused, any help would be greatly appreciated. I am happy to give more details if necessary.
