If you have a problem with your blocks not showing up in mcedit:

..it doesn't matter, mcedit saves the id's so you can still use modded blocks!

They will appear purple in mcedit but if you find the structure yourself it looks perfectly fine.

Is there a way to use Mcedit to specify the center of a structure, so that it will generate at that point? Or do I have to manuially shift the i,j,k parameters in the code?

I finally got mcedit to work, but when I tested the schematics I made, they were all made out of vanilla blocks, just like GameRuleYears said.
