Topic category: Minecraft mod ideas exchange
I'm stupid annoying at doing everything to break mcreator, so ima find out no matter how crazy, how to make whatever idea ya'll throw at me, if I'm successful ill make a tutorial on it, if it's REALLY useful, i'll make a wiki page (Please give me ideas im completely out)
I saw a user asking on how to make a machine that would dig below itself and store items in its inventory, this might be a thing to do :)
This is a difficult one: Stone changes based on biome.
---------------------------------------Explanation---------------------------------------
You have to create a new dimension and 3 custom biomes. As you'll notice, you'll only be able to customise the first top layer and the 3 layers below it. What is beneath your biome is determined in the dimension settings.
So the challenge will be to change the rock into something else based on which biome is above it.
---------------------------------------Some Tips---------------------------------------
As you know, blocks have an "On added" procedure. This procedure will trigger when a player places a block. When a block is spawned like ores replacing a certain block type, but unlike the procedure suggests: It doesn't always trigger when the block is added. If you select it in your dimension settings as filler block for world generation, the On Added procedure will be skipped entirely.
Using the Ore feature inside the Block mod element can help you, but as everyone knows, setting the numbers too high might crash your world generation tool.
Using ores (block1), it's possible to use an update tick that checks adjucent blocks and converts them into (block1's) and then convert yourself to (block2) with block 2 being the desired block. make it based on biome and there you have something: A virus like spreading block.
This version doesn't convert all blocks in the underground world right away, but slowly grows but might accidentally skip certain blocks. Additionally, it will likely crash your world if too many blocks are being converted.
That's all I can tell you (:
GL.
For 1. Klemen, somewhat figured it out, making it put it in it's own inventory is really difficult, you need an operation for adding items to the inventory, rather then just setting a slot to it, by god that was difficult.
For 2. Ill figure that out soon... Hopefully
Huh, in the middle of trying to figure this out i found out how to make a corruption style block, one that will just slowly corrupt everything in the world except certain blocks, so thats n e a t
Sounds like a nice addition for a nuclear themed mod :D
yeh I got one.
make a trolling mod so where you can make ghost blocks, one way glass and more
I was going make this but i'll wait to see yours . :)
This already exists? Its the Secret Rooms mod.

The spreading block worked but managed to crash my game after too much spreading/spawning it in as ore in abundance. Though entire biomes were in fact converted, with ocasionally lag that prevents you from drinking potions, cutting wood, etc.
Because the normal spreading block can spread infinitely (if not contained within the biome) I tried a spreading block that prevented infinite spreading:

Though spawning it in as gem will still cause the silent lagg preventing you from using items, etc.
This one is really difficult!
Um actually, i didnt suffer any lag while doing this, then again i have 12 gbs of ram dedicated to my mc, cause why tf not
k so listen closely m8
So, you DID say no matter how crazy, yeah? I got crazy. tons.
What if there was a block that did something with other blocks based on the player, BUT, either one of these factors must come into play?
So you good or nah
If ya good then I'll just get back to business :)
Jesus Christ
it's just a thought ;)
