Hi. I am making custom fuel. I read this article and thought everything is working, but my fuel smelts extremely fast. I want to know exactly how to make fuel! Like, item1 can smelt 5 blocks, item2 can smelt 0.5 blocks, item3 can smelt 0.25 blocks...
The burn time is ticks, not seconds

Oh gosh
In minecraft there are 20 ticks every 1 second. During these ticks, the smelting value is decreased you could say. So 3 seconds of smelting would be 60 ticks. 4 seconds 80, etc.
