I think that it is a good idea to get a setting for the mod version for, as an exemple, create a 1.9.4 mod in the last mcreator version and then change it to an 1.12.2 mod

I think that it is a good idea to get a setting for the mod version for, as an exemple, create a 1.9.4 mod in the last mcreator version and then change it to an 1.12.2 mod
1.9.4 is way too outdated to be supported. You can easily switch between 1.12.2 and 1.14.4 though.
