When editing tools, one of the parameters is "Damage vs mob/animal". I can't figure out what to do without vanilla tool references. All the forum posts on this are kind of old and don't give a clear answer. The wiki section is confusing too. All I need to know is how this parameter is entered for each tool and resource like this:
Sword | Hoe | |
Gold | ? | ? |
Diamond | ? | ? |
etc.

I mentioned in my post that I didn't understand the wiki page. But to confirm completely: if I wanted a custom hoe to have the same as a wooden hoe, I would enter 1? And for a custom axe with the same as a diamond axe, I'd enter 4?
Search in minecraft wika
Could you link it please? I seriously can't find it lol.

:P
No I mean the specific article hahaha
oof
https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Sword
keep in mind that if you make the sword attack speed anything other than 1.6, the actual ingame damage is what you type in mcreator plus 2
https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Axe
axe damage is what you type +1, whatever the attack speed
https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Pickaxe
https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Shovel
pickaxes and shovels has an attack speed of what you type +2, whatever the attack speed
https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Hoe
hoe attack damage is always 1 because that's a vanilla feature
Thank you very much for the explanation!
