1.7.10 to help the community.

I got into moding because I used to play a lot of 1.7.10 mods. No one updates 1.7.10 mods anymore because of "legal reasons", or because forge updated removing said mods, but there is still a huge community of people playing 1.7.10 mods.

I looked through a bunch of these topics already, I am aware you won't release that version specifically and hate getting asked about it so much, a lot of people want that version. since I came to MCreator for that version, I was disappointed to find out I could not get that version. so, I am going to do some research, see if I can find some 1.7.10 alternatives and post it here for people like me, and hopefully this form can end the spam for 1.7.10. to satisfy the 1.7.10 community.

First I went to minecraft…
Fri, 02/05/2021 - 22:53

First I went to minecraft.net, I could not find anything for 1.7.10, but I found a few mod making tools for older versions like "Layman mod maker", "MineGen tool", and "Linkseyi's ModMaker Tool".

Next I went too CruseForge, where I used to get my mods. Sometimes to make the process of manually programing a mod there are A.P.I. mods that can help make the mod. I briefly looked through the "API and Library" mods tab, the oldest one I could find within my limited search was "CodeChickenLib" for 1.8. There may be a tool similar too "CodeChickenLib" or, "Mantle" somewhere in there for 1.7.10, but I am not gonna look through all of those tools today.

At this point its clear to me the hardest but possibly only option is learning Javascript and creating your mods that way.

Maybe there is a few tools to make programming Javascript easier? That's where I went next. In this case, I would recommend one of the many Javascript editors out there, you might be able too find one that would work, but again I am not gonna dive too deep into this.

1.8 was mostly random stuff, but all the features fit well into the game.

1.9 completely changed the End! With Elytra you can fly in Survival, too!

1.10 provided more variety in terms of mobs, with Husks, Strays, and Polar Bears all making appearances.

1.11 added a sinister new race to the overworld.

1.12 was an overhaul for builders.

1.13. Seriously, the oceans have literally nothing but squids in 1.7.10

1.14. Adds many useful building blocks and completely overhauls villages and trading.

1.15. Slightly strange, but still provides many new possibilities for farming.

1.16: A completely new ore and 4 new biomes! Super awesome blocks, too.

1.17: The Caves and Cliffs Update! Everyone wanted a cave overhaul!

Unfortunately, even in 2021, these updates are looking not so enjoyable compared to what plenty of great quality 1.7.10 mods can provide.

I suppose your right. Maybe remaking 1.7.10 mods for later versions in MCreator would be a good idea?

Hold up! Hold up! I need to state in bold. Javascript =/= Java they are completely different languages!

Java is actually the harder language. Despite the similar names, they are completely different. The only real connection is that they are both runtime environments. But that is like saying birds and bats are similar as Not only are Java and Javascript runtime, so is Lua, Ruby, Python, so on.

Seriously though I hope you check this I would hate for you to spend so much time getting good at javascript only to realize that Java is completely different.

Two reasons. My PC is a potato, and I already have a large variety of old 1.7.10 mods that I'd be interested in adding too privately before venturing into original ideas.

I am very glad you cleared that up before the mistake was made. Thank you.

1.15, also called the "bugs update" I think was the first major update in Minecraft's history to be almost completely bug fixes.
