Trying to make different shaped trees with custom blocks.. but I can't see the option for that!

Trying to make different shaped trees with custom blocks.. but I can't see the option for that!

I want to make some interesting biomes using the different tree shapes but from what I can see I cannot do this in the biomes options!
If I tick "vanilla trees" then I can select the shape, but not the custom items!

How can I do this?
