i imported some armor textures and when i tried to use them on my armor it came up with no name and i couldnt use them pls help

A nice tutorial:
--------------------------------------
1. Go in to you're texture.
2. Click "Save As a New Texture"
3. Put you're new name.
4. Delete the old texture.
--------------------------------------

you can only save new textures as a block item or other not armor textures
and the layer texture only lets me use amor textures
Delete The armor texture, then import the same texture, but with a different name...
And make sure that both textures has "nameofarmor_layer_1" and nameofarmor_layer_2" to make them appear in MCreator.
