''Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride. These are the seven deadly sins, seven vices that one should not indulgence in. But if one decides to succumb to the temptation, they shall receive great power in exgence for a great price. Be Lawful or be a Sinner, the path is yours to decide.''
Paths Of Sin is a mod that adds the seven deadly sins in the form of enchantments that you can put on your tools and armors. These enchantments are very powerful, but they come with a huge drawback. One needs to be wise in their decision, although indulging in such sins may only root from insanity.
To begin:
Sins can only be gotten from books. These books require sacrifices. An Altar Of The Sinner is required.
The more health the sacrifice has, the more blood is given to the altar. Once active, after a cost of 10 experience levels, you may put a book on the altar. The sin that comes out of the altar is completely random.
Pride
When at full health, the player's pride is high, giving them power and confidence. If hurt, they will lose their once full pride and be severely crippled. The player's sword / axe will emanate an aura of intimidation that will hurt their opponents' ego. But one's aura requires a lot of composure to maintain.
Wrath
When approaching death, the player's wrath will give them extraordinary strength. If they avoid getting hurt, their thirst for combat won't be satiated. The player's sword / axe will steal their foes' blood, but it is the only way they can recover.
Sloth
The player's constant state of inactivity allowed them to store a lot of energy. In consquence, their resistance is greatly improved. The player's swings are much more powerful, but they need a certain time to catch their breath after each swing.
Lust
The player's mystic allure attracts everything around them, warping their minds to only focus on their beauty. The player's sword / axe can command anything and will turn them insane, but the player's composure cannot be contained.
Gluttony
The player's insatiable hunger allows them to eat as they please, recovering some of their health. But their hunger becomes greater and they constantly need to eat, or else they become extremely weak. The player's sword / axe can steal their opponents' very soul to enhance their own, but this requires a lot energy to keep.
Envy
The player's envy grants them strength when near powerful foes. But when near weak foes, they will feel in need to envy something more powerful. The player will steal any item the hand of their opponent aswell as any potion effects they may have.
Greed
The player's greed makes them proficient at picking things on the ground. When they steal, they feel empowered. But the though of skipping any chest is unthinkable. The player is able to find any treasure in their opponents' corpses. Because of this, they can't stop themself from attacking anything around them.
Be careful, as overindulging comes at great consequences. To bypass this, the player can craft powerful pieces of equipment:
