A mod that allows for you get string easier which can be used for wools then beds., there are many ways to get the string,

One way is mining, mine in layers 10 or lower to find old cobblestone, it drops string and cobblestone. 

You can also craft string using natural string but how do you craft natural string, you can craft it using seeds, sugarcane, kelp, and wheat. 4 Natural String crafts one piece of string.

Use that string to make wool.
