quick disclaimer:
before y'all start saying I copied the corruption from terraria I DID NOT. I had never even played or watched somebody else play terraria until people started calling this a corruption ripoff, and now that I have played it I think the correlation is shaky at best.

I'm not very good at explaining things and I am very sleep deprived right now, so this will probably be a very inadequate description of my mod.
the provided screenshots can fill the gaps in my incomprehensible descriptions.

the mod revolves around a constantly spreading, mycelium-like infection that can seldom be stopped by anything once it gains momentum. while it is stoppable, you'll probably be spending a LOT of resources if you want to completely kill off the spreading. the roots of the infection can travel hundreds of blocks in order to propogate itself.

due to the nigh-unstoppable nature of the infection, if you decide to unleash it upon your world you will probably have to coexist with it. as of right now there aren't that many benefits to the infection, but I will be adding many more in the coming updates.

as the infection spreads, strange plants start springing up. like the serpent plant, a scaly and dangerous plant that grows around the corpse of a creeper overcome by infection. when a creeper stays in an infected area too long it will become infected and slowly grow into a serpent plant.
if you want to keep your base from being destroyed by the infection you could always build in the towering branches of the Ingentis Obeliscus, a colossal plant that can hit build height if it's height RNG is high. did I mention that every plant is completely RNG-based? there are no pre-designed tree shapes and plants grow in deformed patterns. if you want to see first-hand the way plants organically grow you can place a block of infected grass in a grassy area and set a high randomtickspeed to accelerate the spreading process.

because of my sloppy programming the game can crash quite often. from my testing giving the game more RAM helps the issue, but I will still be working on a fix for the crashing issues. the mod currently isn't very survival friendly but survival gameplay is the end goal.

feel free to give me questions and suggestions related to the mod.
