Cave Game II adds some quality-of-life changes, and extra minor content. Certain blocks and items are textured with the intent of being visually similar to older versions, the choice for this is not some grand psychological ideal, I just like the old textures, lol. The attitude I have towards the textures inspired the name of this mod. There are some recipes included for items you can only obtain through drops and loot tables like saddles and name tags, however, an advancement relating to Redstone is required to unlock those recipes.
(Below are some developer notes, they help for some perspective on who I am as a developer of this mod and my attitude towards building it, if you just want to get right into playing it, you should be fine skipping past this.)
To be honest, this is the first mod I have ever officially developed, all on my own as well. Feedback on really anything and everything is greatly appreciated. Of course, I don't expect college level essays for recommendations. Just speak your mind, I'd love to hear about anything I can do for the mod. This may go without saying, but this mod is one I plan to develop slowly, with each and every new feature impacting the last. I don't have a concrete vision for the finish line of this, and I don't know where I'd even consider the mod "complete", I really don't think we're close to that point yet anyway.
New update changes: (Most of the things here will stay, unless they can be improved, or if they lose purpose over time.)
Planned update changes: (These are unconfirmed changes and while they are considered, they may not make it into the mod.)
All other wood types will be included alongside the currently implemented oak variation within the stone cutter.
I'm considering scrapping this mod to make something that is more accurate to the main idea.
