Problem with stripping wood is when there is any food in second hand

This procedure replace a birch log with a new mod block when stripping with any axe. This works as long as there is no food or another item with right mouse click action in the second hand; if there is an any food/action item, the procedure stops working, even if food/actItem is later removed from the second hand. How can I fix this?
