All I want to do is increasing my weapon range, and I got a many tips about using attribute with entity reach, but it has too many errors and especially they didnt get back base range when holding another weapon that I dont want to increase a range. It's so hard to fix it myself, I wrote it so that I could get help.
You could possibly use a potion effect that is completely hidden, use the built-in potion effect attribute modifiers, and have a procedure that applies the potion effect for an extremely short duration while you are holding the weapon.

.and make it so that when you drop it the range resets.but you can also make so that when you change hotbar item the item drops.while its not practically useful. it may be a fun
