MeziCraft is a minecraft mod that prioritizes dinosaur behaviour and individuality. In this new prehistoric dimension, (which you can travel to by using /T for now,) dinosaurs and other extinct species will hunt, flee, and attempt to survive in this harsh world YOU are now a part in!
But what EXACTLY do the dinosaurs in MeziCraft do?
- They hunt for their food (only when they're hungry, of course.)
- They spawn with different colors, sizes, and variants (including a rare albino skin)
- They defend themselves from threats (which can include you if you get too close.)
- They forage for food or look out for others (through animations 100% unique to each dinosaur.)
- They sleep when it's day or night (depends on the dinosaur.)
- They have babies who follow their parents until they mature (wild babies are rare, but they can imprint on you without needing to tame them!)
- They each drop items unique to them (such as meat that give different potion effects depending on the dinosaur.)
- And, most importantly, they help you out!
---
But how?
---
The Morrison Forest
---
Dryosaurus

- A useful early game mount, the Dryosaurus is able to leap great distances to aid in travel and passively drop ferns useful for taming other dinosaurs. As well as this, the Dryosaurus is also remarkably easy to tame itself and its meat gives speed to whoever cooks and eats it.
---
Juravenator

- An agile venomous predator, the Juravenator is dangerous to early game survivors. However, once tamed, you get venom resistance as well as passively dropped feathers and venomous fangs. Packs of Juravenator are also not to be looked over, despite their small stature.
---
Camptosaurus

- The cow of the Morrison, the Camptosaurus passively drops flowers and bonemeals the ground they walk on. As well as this, the Camptosaurus can also dye any prehistoric flower or fungus right-clicked on it and regenerate players who ride them. Their meat when cooked has the same properties as well!
---
Nanosaurus

- A small and unassuming little herbivore, the Nanosaurus replaces the ability to be ridden with constant regeneration, speed, and jump boost to their owners as well as passively dropping merries, a new food source, and feathers as well.
---
Tanycolagreus

- One of the biggest reasons to stay indoors at night, the Tanycolagreus is a nocturnal hunter that can climb any surface and give partial blindness to whoever it attacks. When tamed, however, these paired with night vision and the ability to squeeze through small gaps make this dinosaur perfect for cave exploration.
---
Kentrosaurus

- The Kentrosaurus has a temper so short even other herbivores give this dinosaur a wide berth. Able to shoot their tail spikes (we here at Mezicraft don't prioritize scientific accuracy) at would-be threats like a javelin, the Kentrosaurus is a dinosaur that can be used for both far away and close combat.
---
Ceratosaurus

- A juggernaut that won't flee from a fight if it's still breathing, the Ceratosaurus is not only a jack of all trades, but an underdog that only gets stronger the lower health it is. Passively dropping coal and providing fire resistance to those who eat its charred meat are bonuses.
---
Stegosaurus

- A huge herbivore with brains anything but, the Stegosaurus is a tank that can hit multiple enemies at once while ridden. It also can drop its iconic thagomizers, allowing you to aquire this dinosaur's powerful bleeding attacks for yourself.
---
Allosaurus

- The Allosaurus is often called the lion of the jurassic, and this dinosaur lives up to that name well. Fast, aggressive, and armed with a bite that causes enormous amounts of bleed, the Allosaurus is almost necessary when hunting big game.
---
Camarasaurus

- What was that booming noise I heard last night? That would be the Camarasaurus, a huge sauropod that can crush any creature that gets too close. As well as this, the Camarasaurus also passively drops all types of leaves, even those not native to the world of MeziCraft.
---
The Huerguina Floodplains
---
Pelecanimimus

- You won't ever need a boat again after taming the Pelecanimimus, as this small dinosaur is able to swim, dive, and run across the muddly floodplains they call home. As well as this, the Pelecanimimus can also help you hunt the numerous species of fish in MeziCraft's waters.
---
Iberomesornis

- This avian dinosaur may seem harmless, but its territorial nature and beak full of sharp needle-like teeth say otherwise. When tamed, however, these birds get a lot more peaceful, even giving a slow falling effect to their owners and dropping a considerable amount of feathers passively.
---
Pyroraptor

- While only slightly less bird-like than the Iberomesornis, these raptors are even more aggressive, slowing their prey with their hook-shaped toeclaws. A master of both fire and the sea, the Pyroraptor will grant their owners both fire resistance and dolphin's grace when nearby.
---
Ajkaceratops

- A cross between a bulldog and a boar, the Ajkaceratops is a must-have if you like building, as they are able to dig up various different types of natural blocks when fed a crab. They are also loyal and protective, stampeding towards would-be hunters with the rage only a short dinosaur could have.
---
Mantellisaurus

- Arguably even more of a river horse than the hippopotamus, (at least you can RIDE this thing,) the Mantellisaurus spends its days grazing on seagrass at the bottom of shallow seas. Riding this dinosaur gives you a peek into its life with permanent water breathing and an occasional absorption effect.
---
Concavenator

- A shark as much as it is a dinosaur, the Concavenator is as comfortable in the water as it is on land. A bleeder in all aspects even down to the quills they passively drop, the Concavenator is perfect for players who want to outlast their enemies.
---
Europejara

- Who needs creative mode? These helicopter-like flying mounts called Europejara bring a brand new way to travel for late game players. They aren't just used for air travel either, as when fed a merry, a new food source, these pterosaurs spit out the seeds like missiles.
---
Iguanodon

- In my notesapp I have this dinosaur listed as the: "knockback explosion boxer mount." I think that pretty much sums the Iguanodon up.
---
Riojavenatrix

- This spinosaur doubles the amount of fish you get for each one you kill, and as well as that, the Riojavenatrix also can spit water on would-be attackers to knock them back when ridden. This, paired with them passively dropping fish scales and being adept swimmers, makes the Riojavenatrix a must-have for the water.
---
Europelta

- The Europelta is not only a tank that can swim, but also a living quarry miner! Able to break almost any block and leave their drop behind, a mining session with this ankylosaur is almost always far more efficient than without one. Feed it tubers, a new food source, for even greater results.

EVERYTHING BEYOND THIS POINT IS EVEN MORE UNFINISHED AND VERY SUBJECT TO CHANGE :)
---
The Kayenta Savanna (UNFINISHED)
---
Laquintasaura (UNFINISHED)

- Laquintasaura are quite obviously the zebras of the Kayenta Savanna, traveling in herds and providing hgih amounts of speed to their owners. As well as this, the Laquintasaura also passively drops dry ferns, useful for taming other savanna inhabitants.
---
Caseosaurus (UNFINISHED)

- The Caseosaurus, while small, has an endless appetite. This is largely in-part due to their venom, able to paralyze prey at the cost of a remarkable amount of energy. Tame this little dinosaur for both paralysis resistance as well as the ability to paralyze foes yourself.
---
Scutellosaurus (UNFINISHED)

- Like its distant cousin the Europelta, the Scutellosaurus is also able to mine blocks for their owners, however this dinosaur needs to be right clicked with brambeans, a new food source, to do so. As well as this, the Scutellosaurus also applies resistance to their owners as well.
---
Heterodontosaurus (UNFINISHED)

- Every savanna needs its temperamental spikey menace, and the Kayenta Savanna is no exception. The Heterodontosaurus can shoot its sharp quills at an alarming speed, making it unwise to attack. What is wise, however, is taming these little herbivores and using this turret-like aggression for your own gain.
---
Kayentavenator (UNFINISHED)

- Like the Heterodontosaurus, the Kayentavenator is also capable of shooting projectiles at enemies. However, instead of sharp quills, this cunning predator uses venomous mucus that can be launched across notable distances. It's both gross and effective, as well as being an ability you can harness for yourself.
