Floral alchemy is going to be my first ever mod, its all about mechanics, gardening, building and other. Its inspired by a large mods called Botania and Raolcraft omega which is similar, containing a ton of items and mechanics. Floral Alchemy is going to add a ton of new features to the game. There will be a lot of updates, the first one being Seeing stars update, in which the player must collect fallen stars that appear on the ground when the world is starting, fallen stars are able to create powerful items, fun and useful building blocks and other. In the mod im planning to add:
- 2 new dimensions or 1 mega-dimension, as large as the overworld.
- 300 / 250 new items and building blocks
- 50 more mobs
- 25 generated structures
- over 50 biomes
- Tons of weaponry
- Magic items, Magic weapons, Summoning weapons
- (Maybe) Entire new soundtrack replacing each one
- In - Game textures made by me
This mod might take a LONG time and might take over several months to complete.
Very cool mod idea. However considering you are a new to modding (like me) I wouldn't promise too much stuff yet. I hope you're successful in adding what you want to add.
Seems like it will be a great mod, good luck! :D
PS: are the fallen stars inspired on Terraria?
Well the fallen stars are inspired by terraria, not sure if they are going to be used for mana, and if mana would be there. Both botania and your mod has mana so it might be overused.
I have only one question, did your mod have some coding and that? The mana system looks pretty complex to me
I haven't coded my mods, I only used MCreator
RaolCraft's mana system consist of an item and many wands that check for it and consume it before triggering their effect
In Pyromancy, another mod made by me, red mana still is an item, but rather than being something used by players for casting spells, it is used by magical blocks to help with automation and more (similarly to Botania)
You could also create a mana system similar to Terraria by using a variable and some overlays that only show up depending on the mana variable
Anyway, don't worry if it is overused, most RPGs have mana and it's more like a recurring mechanic (like the health bar) rather than an overused concept :)
Nice concept I wish you luck especially sense you are new.
