A quick suggestion: Use JEI for recipes. There won't be any recipes other than machine ones in this guide.

Basic Ores

From left to right:Copper, Tin, Zinc, Nether Gold, Silver

bruh

While playing, you can find lots of new ores. Here are some important ones:

Copper: a very very common ore found on most y-levels. Used to make bronze. It doesn’t have many uses if you directly smelt it into ingots, so you should keep it as ore form until you obtain the alloy smelter.

Tin: a very very common ore found on most y-levels. Used to make bronze. It doesn’t have many uses if you directly smelt it into ingots, so you should keep it as ore form until you obtain the alloy smelter. It has some individual uses I think but you don't need a lot of them.

(Yes I copied that part from copper)

Zinc: a very common ore found on most y-levels. Used to make brass and in the future plated steel. It doesn’t have many uses if you directly smelt it into ingots, so you should keep it as ore form until you obtain the alloy smelter. It has some individual uses I think but you don't need a lot of them.

Nether Gold: a rather common ore found in the nether. You can use it as a substitute for gold recipes(It even works with modded ones) but the most important use is to make the portal and the scepter to the Volcanic Ruins. Unlike the previous ores, you can't smelt it in the alloy smelter.

Silver: a very rare ore (same rarity as diamond) that spawns in the overworld below y=30. It is rare in the overworld but very abundant in the volcanic ruins. You use it to make... Bowls...(Idk why I added this)

You need to make an Alloy smelter in order to make alloys. It can be crafted very earlygame using brick blocks, iron blocks, and machine coal.(Use JEI)

You get 8 machine coal from smelting coal. In the future there will be a different way to get it though.

Alloying

the gui

The alloy smelting gui has 4 slots. The slot at the most left is

Have a suggestion: make it so that you can make tools out of silver and it deals extra damage to undead (vampires, zombies, corrupted golems, and the like)
