Platinum armor IS better than diamond, damage wise, but only has 1337 durability, it is a great defence and still lasts long
The platinum tools also have 1337 durability, but are noticably faster than diamond and is a good use of platinum
Platinum ore drops itself, which is smelted to make ingots
The platinum block is just for decoration and to show how much swag you has
Now... the platinum apple is a great way to make yourself a tank, as it gives you a full extra row of hearts and resistance 1 for a whole hour!!!!
