Can't spawn plant in my dimension

I'm trying to make a plant that spawns in my dimension. When I try to select a dimension to spawn in, my dimension isn't listed as an option. I've tried making it spawn on my special grass but it wont spawn without a dimension to spawn in. Is this a problem with the latest snapshot specifically? Anything helps.
