About the plugin

This is a hard fork of the Goldorion Fabric Generator 1.20.1 plugin. This plugin will be developed separately from the main one, As Goldorion has left the community. Most of the features of this plugin are untested and are probably broken. PRs and issues on github are welcome and will probably be merged. There are already some fixes in the plugin now (check the changelog).

A plugin for MCreator, a code generator to create Minecraft mods. Adds a Fabric generator type.

This project is not official. It is not affiliated with the respective owners and maintainers of Fabric, Minecraft, or MCreator. Do not expect any official support from their communities.

Important Information

Make sure you use MCreator 2024.4 or 2025.1
If you are using 2025.1, you must install the 1.20.1 forge plugin.
Supported global triggers
Back up your workspace before updating to a newer version of the plugin.
Mods will also require Fabric API to function properly, so when you want to play your mod, make sure you have Fabric API.

I doubt that I can do this without using a newer version of minecraft.

i am trying to work with some dependencies, but i need gradle 8.6 for them, but right now it is gradle 8.3 so it is just a small update (I think).

Creative tabs don't work

They should work in the latest version. Please describe the error in more detail.

I have the same problem. I'm using version 2.1.0.
For example, if I create items A and B and add them to the Combat and Tools tabs, respectively, on the properties page, then when I run the game, it shows that both Combat and Tools have A and B, instead of A in Combat and B in Tools.

I am trying to add some dependencies and stuff like that and that works, but I need a newer version of loom and if I try to change the version it errors.

for some reason it wont show that its a fabric generator, please help

The plugin should work for Mcreator 2024.4. Make sure that you have this version and have downloaded the plugin.

Cool plugin! Why creators of MCreator didn't do this?

It would be too hard to keep 2 API's up to date at the same time.

so why keep approving all these copy and paste generators that don't work?

Because someone is at least trying, albeit it is quite a flawed attempt so far. We don't like gatekeeping in this community and hope for the best for this plugin author to improve and learn and improve the plugin with time.

it's not gate keeping if its just a broken plugin that does absolutely nothing at least have it somewhat usable before approving it because as it stands most people cant even get this plugin to be recognized in mcreator whatsoever

I would advise opening bug report at https://github.com/300f20t/Another-Fabric-Generator-MCreator/issues. If the author is not cooperating in the long run, we can remove the page, but we don't want to do that pro-actively.

Most of the features of this plugin are untested and are probably broken! I wouldn't use this plugin for large-scale complex mods just yet. I would not say that there are many Fabric generators, there are only 4 of those posted here. Of these, 0 are stable.

I don't know if this is an issue with the plugin, or some other issue on my end, but anytime I try to export a workspace with this plugin it fails. Even if i make a simple block or item it fails, even with a workspace with just ONE item, with no special properties or procedures. Anytime I make an item, or a block, or anything it fails. If this is a problem with the plugin I'd appreciate it if you tried to fixed it, and if it's a problem on my end then don't worry about it.

I tried it again with the new version, still failed, idk if it's an issue on my end, or some unknown issue from the plugin, If you would like I can provide the console output or an exportable zip if you think it's caused by the plugin, but I think it's just an issue on my end, thanks
